On Saturday, two of Des Moines' historic buildings were moved to new locations in the Sherman Hills area. They were displaced by the Wellmark campus being built downtown. The Murillo building was the largest move in the nation so far this year, and the move will be featured on the Discovery Channel. It was moved on 192 wheels and weighed around 700 tons. The other building was an 128 year-old row house and weighed 100 tons.

I appreciated the "tow away zone" signs attached to the side of the building.
